If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.– Dr. Maya Angelou
The waning phase begins with the Full Moon visibly receding from its full luminous form to the New Moon. During this yin phase, stay committed to your intentions for the remainder of the lunar cycle. This is a time to practice receiving with gratitude. You don’t need to say yes to every opportunity that presents itself. Receive with open arms all that will enhance your well-being, and be okay with saying no to anything that doesn’t align to your intentions.
Once Upon A Time
there was a Greek goddess of transformation named Hecate. Her power to live between the worlds of the living and the dead, between the past and the future, was legendary, even threatening to the almighty Zeus.
Known for her protection of women, when Hades abducted Persephone, Hecate helped Persephone’s mother, Demeter, search tirelessly through the underworld. They eventually found Persephone, however Hades would not set her completely free. Every year, he requires Persephone to stay in each realm – the underworld and on earth, for six-months at a time. As the earth ebbs and flows between seasons, Hecate stays by Persephone’s side in both realms. As a reward for Hecate’s friendship to Persephone, Hades gifted Hecate with the ability to talk to spirits.
