Swan Spirit Animal
The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely.
– Carl Jung
Once Upon A Time
there was a young god named Aengus who lived by the Boyne river in Ireland. One night an irresistible goddess came to visit him in his dreams. Her elegant and ethereal beauty was out of this world. Aengus was instantly hooked. Who was she?
Aengus set out to find the woman of his dreams. Alas, he discovered that she was more than a dream. Her name was Caer, and the poor goddess was transformed into a swan every Samhain on October 31.
Aengus miraculously found Caer at Dragon’s Mouth lake. Of course, it wasn’t a piece of cake. When Aengus arrived, there were 150 swans that looked exactly like her.
Nevertheless, he chose correctly, and was instantly transformed into a swan. The lovers flew off together, singing enchanting music that put its listeners asleep for days.
Swan Wisdom
Do you see yourself as the beautiful, powerful soul you are? The fierce, yet calm and confident, swan reminds us that indeed we are more beautiful and powerful than we know. We might just need a little spiritual makeover.
The swan guides us to the depths of the emotions and transforms negative self-images that hold us back from stepping into our power. When you dive deep into the depths of your awareness, you uncover lost or dismissed parts of the self. This self-knowledge allows you to better understand others beyond what is visible on the surface.
