Numerology Insights: the Magic of the Number 4

Being a square keeps you from going around in circles.

– J. Vernon McGee

Is the number 4 appearing to you in dreams or your waking life? Or maybe you’re navigating a four life path or a four month in numerology. Let’s get back to square one and discover the meaning of the number 4.

The Meaning of 4

Stable and strong, four represents the building blocks of our physical world. With a little air, fire, water and earth, the number 4 builds a solid foundation for a legacy. Yes, a legacy. Four isn’t capable of building quick-and-dirty structures. “Squarely planted on the ground,” the number 4 builds structures that stand the test of time.

The number four also represents steadfast discipline and obedience to his practical, but rigid laws. But don’t worry, this rational number makes sure the rules of his empire are “fair and square.” In the number 4 realm, everyone gets “a square meal” for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

However, life in the land of number 4 can feel a little humdrum. Efficient routines and processes provide stability, but they also suck the spontaneity out of life. The number 4 is just not interested in experimenting or trying new things (leave that for the number 5!). Four living may be (yawn) boring, but it’s always fair and reliable.

You see, this conservative number just doesn’t make room for unconventional ideas. The number 4 stays with the tried-and-true methods that have proven to move the meter. So, you can take your shiny, innovative ideas somewhere else! They just don’t appeal to the number 4.

Naturally, four can come across as a tad dogmatic. But the number 4 makes up for it with fierce loyalty. His relationships and commitments last a lifetime. So, you can always count on the number 4 for protection and to keep things running smoothly.
