Goddess Pachamama
You carry Mother Earth within you. She is not outside of you. Mother Earth is not just your environment. In that insight of inter-being, it is possible to have real communication with the Earth, which is the highest form of prayer.
– Thich Nhat Hanh
Once Upon A Time
there was a powerful goddess of growth and fertility named Pachamama. Married to the sun god, Inti, she was a generous deity, constantly bringing new life to the planet. While she may have been big-hearted, you didn’t want to get on her bad side!
The Incan earth goddess lived as a dragon under the Andes Mountains. When humans disrespected the planet, she would shiver, causing destructive earthquakes across the land.
Pachamama Wisdom
Pachamama teaches us to express gratitude. Take a moment each day to thank Mother Earth for all her blessings. She provides the air we breathe and the vegetation we need for nourishment, vitality and joy. She lightens the air, while grounding us to Earth. Untamed and compassionate, she is our home sweet home.
Pachamama also teaches us to live in harmony with nature. Ebb and flow with the seasons of Mother Earth and you will reap abundance, blessings, vibrant health and contentment in our world.
